The Grocery Foundation is a national community of grocery, food, beverage and consumer product companies committed to investing in the well-being of young people across Canada.

Since 2009, The Grocery Foundation has been a leading supporter of Kids Help Phone as co-host of the Night to Nurture Gala — an annual fundraising event that has raised millions of dollars in support of Kids Help Phone and The Grocery Foundation’s breakfast programs for equity-deserving groups.

Over the years, this incredible event has welcomed thousands of guests and many high-profile comedians and entertainers. Through sponsorships, ticket sales, auctions, raffles and donations, the event has also engaged guests in exciting opportunities to make a difference for young people while increasing awareness about youth mental health and well-being.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Grocery Foundation remained deeply committed to the success of the Night to Nurture Gala in recognition of the unprecedented challenges and uncertainty facing young people. Pivoting the event to a virtual or hybrid format for two years in a row, together we engaged thousands of grocery industry leaders and frontline staff across Canada and raised funds for the well-being of youth.

The Grocery Foundation is playing a critical role in building our capacity to be there for more young people seeking support — creating a stronger and more resilient Canada in the process. We’re deeply grateful.

“At The Grocery Foundation, we believe there is no better purpose than to come together in support of the health and well-being of children. Through our partnership with Kids Help Phone, we are proud to play our part in breaking down barriers to compassionate, 24/7 mental health services for young people — no matter where they may be located in Canada, and no matter what time of day they need to get in touch.”
